In honor of adoption month (November) and as a way to support Wendy's founder, Dave Thomas' vision of helping children, a very special event was created. Children's Day of Hope developed from the desire of the Carlisle's (Gene and Karen), "to give back to our communities and make a difference in our children's lives." The Carlisle's, donating 100% of sales from all of their Mississippi Wendy's to the event, also initiated the participation of Wendy's International, as well as other franchises in the state.

The Children's Day of Hope Team puts a great deal of effort into gaining the support of area churches, schools, youth groups, and community leaders. Additionally, the creation of Public Service Announcements, securing radio and television coverage, and creating marketing materials helps to generate awareness for the event.

Individuals are urged to stop by and help TEAM Wendy's in thier fight to build the hopes and dreams of Mississippi's children. Donations will also be accepted at each location or by mail (P.O.
